Village of Cambria
111 West Edgewater Street
P.O. Box 295
Cambria, WI 53923
Nestled in the northeastern hills of Columbia County, Cambria was founded in 1844 when the Langdon family erected a saw mill on Duck Creek. It's rolling hills, lakes and creek are reminiscent of Wales, hence the name "Cambria". Mr. Benkhe, pioneer aviator, Gena Rowlands, actress, Mr. Huston, Eastman Kodak Camera, and David Jones, architect, are all famous Cambrians.
Rich farmland surrounds the village and its founding and growth have been intertwined with the farming industry. There are many Amish influences in the surrounding area and Cambria is pleased to have Pride Originals, handmade furniture manufacturer and sales, as a downtown business as well as our industries. The Jane Morgan Memorial Library offers many resources for genealogical research. The Cambria-Friesland School District has excellent academic and athletic programs.
